Stop complaining

Sounds easy.. And it kinda is.
I wanted my first post of the year to be about something I have thought about and something I have tried to change. Generally I’m a positive person but like every other human being I do complain, even if it is to myself and not for everyone to hear. As soon as we start to complain a wave of negativity hits us. That wave ain’t a holiday in Mykonos wave, it is a Nazaré (Portugal) surfing wave. In other words, it is high! That negativity tends to make the good things in life go unseen, they are kept hidden behind a wave & makes you focus only on the negative. And all the positives in life are slowly drifting away (drifting awaay, wave after wave hihi).

What I’m trying to say is that complaining -> negativity.
Negativity = bye bye positivity. Wow I really know how to explain things.

On a serious note, I do believe that being aware of when you complain is a real advantage. The minute you complain (and are aware of it) try to control the way you think and try to always see the pros (instead of the cons) in the situation.
You missed the morning bus… Well did you die? Maybe you got an extra minute hug from your kid or an extra minute to eat your apple. It’s not like you will have to run to work, catch the next bus.
– You forgot your headphones at home… Well does it hurt to hear your own thoughts?
– Someone stepped on your foot (super annoying)… Well did you lose your foot?
– It is super snowy and cold AF… Is it really that bad tho??

Put your thoughts to sleep,
do not let them cast a shadow over the moon of your heart.
Let go of thinking.

I touched the clouds! #Naxos

Hi & Salam!
This day was soo cozy and cool! We went up to an old village/town in the mountains. Right before our destination, we found a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, we stopped and ate lunch since the view was a killer. I will probably never have lunch in a place with that type of view again. Loved it!

The village had small cute houses and shops. We went in to a church and listened to the priest, an older woman welcomed us and she was so tiny and kind! Hihi. Outside of the church, there were people sitting everywhere, out on the streets, playing games and talking to each other. I loved that typical greek vibe you would see in movies.

After we roamed around we went to the place where we had lunch and watched the sunset. I can to this day say that the sunset we saw that day was the coolest!! We were on top of a mountain and we were sitting with our feet hanging down the edge of the road. That adrenalin tho! The yellow color of the sunset was so strong but that actually disappeared pretty fast, it suddenly got super cloudy… I have seen 50 shades of clouds and all types of clouds where I live but subhanaAllah that was to another level! The clouds were coming from the ocean under us and slid up towards us. I got soo excited seeing the clouds coming up my way! And YES I touched the clouds, it passed by/through us and the clouds were so cold. Coolest feeling!!

We had to hurry down since it was getting too cloudy and gloomy, we were afraid it would be impossible to drive. So we headed down and got something to eat. Down in the city there were literally no sign of clouds lol, subhanaAllah. What a day!

Naxos Golden Hour

Hi & Salam!
Naxos up in this blog! This place was one of the places where it was super chill. One of the funniest days out of all of our days in Greece was in Naxos (it will get its own post) but other than that day (& our awesome hotel iliada villas!), Naxos wasn’t that special. It is probably because all of the other places were so cozy and cool. I did not regret visiting this place thoo. Loved their beach(es) & gyros!!

Another thing I loved, which I did in almost every island, was the sunsets! The sunsets there were so freakin pretty mA. The so called Golden hour was magical. I love that so many people gather around and just enjoy Gods beautiful creation.20170725_161748

Paros kind of Love

PAROS! Oh lovely, cozy & oh so beautiful Paros. This island was one of my favorites. The people there were probably aliens, I think they were from another planet.. Lol. Everyone was so kind! In the shops, restaurants and streets. There were families and friends everywhere and you could feel how calm and nice the vibe was. No stress or anger or any kind of negative feeling. Everyone smiled and they felt super happy. Loved that cute little unicorn island with its unicorns!

Oh dear sunset

My last Santorini post… How sad. I miss this so much!! The food, streets, the vibe & ofc THE SUNSETS! I love sunsets and have sat my way through many but wow. The sunsets over there are insanely beautiful together with the mountains and oceans. SubhanaAllah! Santorini was definitely my favourite place during our so called Greece tour. Paros next! 🙂

Butterfly baby butterfly

*You have to sing the title with the ‘Rockabye baby’ melody in your head hihi*
I was in the coolest graffiti place the other day and saw some amazing paintings/art pieces. Thank you Hasanah for taking me there! Such a cozy afternoon with an awesome soul.

The place had huge art pieces all over an area in the middle of nowhere. I can’t believe I didn’t know about that place. Anyway I will post one of my favorit pieces on here (the one below and one tomorrow). Hope you’ll like them!

The little things aren’t little♥

I’ve been thinking about how people today don’t notice or reflect on the little things in life that make us happy. I recently asked that question to two teenagers, without recieving an answer on what small things (it could be everyday stuff) make  them happy. Today I talked about it again with a few of my co-workers over lunch. Since they are older they are wiser (you know who you are haha) so I got a discussion and answer out of it. But being able to foucs on the little things in life really does make a difference in the attitude  we have and our mood.

It’s the little things that make us happy everyday, not the big events that happen every now and then. Be enthusiastic about the small, everyday, stuff. Be happy when someone compliments you, be happy when someone offers you something, be happy when you’re out for a walk, when you listen to your favourite song or when you hang out with your family & friends. Appreciate the little things, the things that happen often. Happiness does not need to be grand but it does make you feel great! 🙂

2016, Alhamdulillah! (Picturetime! TB!)

Aaaand another year has passed and as always I’m super thankful for everything I’ve been through and experienced this year. I thank God for all the new memories and for a year of good health, blessings, family, happiness, Love and God. I pray that 2017 will be a better year for everyone on this planet, for every human being. It doesn’t matter what race, religion or gender.. I just hope God blesses our human race and makes 2017 more peaceful. Humanity failed itself during 2016, so I hope we’ll sprinkle love and kindness everywhere we go during 2017.

May Allah give our brothers and sisters around the world a better life. May Allah bless us with pure hearts, with patience, with good morals and characters. May we all live in happiness and peace. Most importantly, may God guide us through another year and through life. Amen!

I’ve had a wonderful year with friends and family, there have been weddings, graduations and trips etc. Alhamdulillah for everything! I thought I’d share some pics as a throwback of 2016. Hope you enjoy!!

The Blue/White city – Chef Chaouen

Vlog (Hercules Caves, Chef Chaouen + The beach): ↓

Salam!!
I’m so excited for this post. I loved the previous one about the Hercules Caves but this one is also a favourit since I love the cozy place… CHEF CHAOUEN! The blue and white city. It’s so pretty! The majority of the houses are either white or blue, or blue AND white. The small city is placed on the mountains with a nice view of the nature close by. Enjoy the pics and the mixed vlog (above)! 🙂
