Stop complaining

Sounds easy.. And it kinda is.
I wanted my first post of the year to be about something I have thought about and something I have tried to change. Generally I’m a positive person but like every other human being I do complain, even if it is to myself and not for everyone to hear. As soon as we start to complain a wave of negativity hits us. That wave ain’t a holiday in Mykonos wave, it is a Nazaré (Portugal) surfing wave. In other words, it is high! That negativity tends to make the good things in life go unseen, they are kept hidden behind a wave & makes you focus only on the negative. And all the positives in life are slowly drifting away (drifting awaay, wave after wave hihi).

What I’m trying to say is that complaining -> negativity.
Negativity = bye bye positivity. Wow I really know how to explain things.

On a serious note, I do believe that being aware of when you complain is a real advantage. The minute you complain (and are aware of it) try to control the way you think and try to always see the pros (instead of the cons) in the situation.
You missed the morning bus… Well did you die? Maybe you got an extra minute hug from your kid or an extra minute to eat your apple. It’s not like you will have to run to work, catch the next bus.
– You forgot your headphones at home… Well does it hurt to hear your own thoughts?
– Someone stepped on your foot (super annoying)… Well did you lose your foot?
– It is super snowy and cold AF… Is it really that bad tho??

Put your thoughts to sleep,
do not let them cast a shadow over the moon of your heart.
Let go of thinking.

It took a turn..

I mean you could easily say that the weather took a drastic turn today lol. I was so happy yesterday and then I woke up to a cloudy and rainy monday but heeey we still gooood! I’m still happy, alhamdulillah, even though it was a long day.

I’m happy about the little things; comments I have gotten, smiles I’ve recieved and the love I’ve tried to spread. Hope everyone had a blessed, easy breezy lemon squeezy, Monday! 🙂

Create your own sunshine!

Good Morning!!

I really believe that people can create their own sunshine as in their own happiness. For example, I live in a country where there is pretty much no day light during autumn and winter, well it’s pretty much dark and grey 90% of the year haha. Anyway, this causes a lot of people to complaining which ofc is understandable. But people here, and pretty much everywhere, are pretty “depressed” as they call it because of the weather (summer is gone) and too much studying etc. I mean I get it but try to not make it worse for yourself. If it’s dark and boring, pretty much just a dry period in your life, just turn things around on your own! If it’s dark: create your own sunshine. If school is boring or tough: make it fun och plan things out to make it easier!

I always try to make the best of things and I hope I can help someone else too do the same. Try to see this season as a cozy season. Leaves falling, with different colours, it gets darker sooner which means you can make it cozy and light candles or put up some early winter/christmas light. Now that it is colder you can cozy up with a cute cup of hot chocolate or tea. We can wear the most comfy onezies ever, more times for reading and movies etc. Basically what I am trying to say is that you are in charge of whether you are happy or bitter. What do you choose to be today? 🙂

I’m sitting home craving sushi… Haha I eat it alot but I want it so bad, as if it was a looong time since I ate it. Increadibly crazy sushilover right here! This is from a night out with my cousin and friend in Morocco. We went to a place that had just opened on a boulevard by the beach, a chinese restaurant. So unic since they kind of aren’t so many over there. The sushi was delicious, it tastes different but so good, Morocco the land of seafood.

Let loose!

Hi and Salam Waaleykom!

So I have been so busy with school (last semester in college) and work (new job, alhamdulillah) that I haven’t been able to upload much on the blog or my youtube channel but that will change inshaAllah. Hope everyone is doing well and having a wonderful fall! Although I love fall I found myself thinking of Morocco today, how everything was so laid back and how much free time I had during the summer. Can’t say I don’t miss it but I LOVE FALL! 🙂 We just have to learn to let loose once in a while when life comes in the way. Here are some throwback, outfit, pictures from my night walk with my bestie, in Morocco.

Knowledge is power!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful night (or day depending on where you are). So this is a late night rant. 🙂

So I have this picture (above) as my wallpaper on my computer. I’ve posted it on facebook before. The picture says a thousand words! My mom and I were just talking, I had my computer on and she asked me what it was. I told her a picture of kids at school in Afghanistan. She just kept looking at it, we started talking about our condition and how blessed we are, alhamdulillah. She kept telling me stories of different people that aren’t as fortune as we are. Their stories of how they got to school and how their schools are. SubhanaAllah, we are blessed with so much but way too many people take it for granted! I have students where I work (not my students but students at school) and students at other schools I’ve worked in, that just complains about literally everything in school. They complain about the early hours, the food, the books and the teachers etc. The list is long. But they are sooo blessed to wake up everyday and go to school, to gain knowledge and to become someone in life… yet they don’t care. That makes me so sad. Education is important, knowledge is power and we… We are blessed! Alhamdulillah.
