Ramadan Mobarek!

tumblr_n7xpycVlcR1toxgxvo1_1280Chebakia – A Moroccan sesame cookie that we make every ramadan!

Hi and salam waaleykom darlings! 🙂

So Ramadan is finally here and alhamdulillah i’m so grateful to be able to experience another Ramadan. This years Ramadan feels so special and I don’t even know why. I hope that I get as much out of this Ramadan as possible. I want to read the whole quran, learn the meaning behind all the surat that I know by heart (to have better khusu’ in my prayers), learn more surat than I already know and read two books I have (one by Yasmin Mogahed and one by Al Arifi) etc..  This Ramadan I mostly want to focus on nuturing my spirituality so that it will be something I mainting during my everyday life for the rest of the year. Hmm, I just realized that maybe this Ramadan feels so special because I have more goals and feel more driven than before haha. And also in three days inshaAllah I’ll be heading to Morocco to fast the rest of Ramadan there. Keep me in you dua’s inshaAllah hihi.

I just want to advice myself and you lovelies to set goals for this Ramadan. Write them down because somehow writing stuff down makes you take them more seriously and you’ll remind yourself of your goals everyday. Set goals to follow, especially since a lot of us have a lot of free-time since it’s summer. Work towards your goals and follow them, remember it is not much about reaching all your goals it is just about the journey towards them. That journey is what makes Ramadan the most wonderful time of the year. And it is that journey that gives us the sweetnes of Ramadan and our deen.

May Allah make this Ramadan easy on all of you, especially for the new converts. May Allah make our imaan stronger. May Allah give you sabr and strenght through this month. And may Allah shower you with the sweetness of our deen! Amen ya rabb al aalamin.

– Until next time in shaa Allah! ❤

Live life and be grateful

IMG-20130902-WA0006Yosra and Me.

Happy Birhtday beautiful, may Allah give you a long and righteous life! 🙂

This girl is turning 21 today mashaAllah and it got me thinking about how blessed we are to still be alive and also how fast life passes us by. Seeing what’s happening around the world makes you reflect on how lucky we are to turn 21, 22 or 23. In countries we live in 21 is nothing, we are still young and have a whole life ahead of us. But in other countries where there is poverty and war etc. we’re considered “old“. We are at an age that a lot of people around us consider young but for some 21 is a lot of years that they never had.

Life goes by so fast and quick. Don’t forget to make the most out of it and just live. Be humble, grateful and realize that you are blessed. Don’t forget to thank Allah for everything you have and every situation you are in. Work for what you want and don’t waste time we’ll never get back. Alhamdulillah for our lives.

A walk in the park?

Hi and salam beauties!

So today I met my lovely friend and we decided to walk all the way to her house, which is about 35 minutes away from the place where we met up. Now when I hear walks I think of strolls between houses on big roads or through parks but nooo, this was not the case, this time haha. 🙂 We walked through big lawns, a lot of grass and woods everywhere. The last wood we walked through was so big, and it made me realize that I was wearing the wrong clothes. BUT I will tell you lovelies, it was sooo beautiful ma shaa Allah. God I love to take walks by the beach and through woods etc. Everything that has to do with nature and Gods creation gives me such peace, it’s wonderful! (When I am not wearing the wrong outfit hehe.) It also gives us a time to, not only feel peaceful, but also reflect. Love it!

Could you tell that I was wearing that weren’t suited for a walk in the woods?

Sadae Afghanistan – Voice of Afghanistan.

Hi and Salam beauties!

So I just checked out “Sadae Afghanistan” which means Voice of Afghanistan, on youtube. It is a serie of episodes, by Ali Baluch, where different people in Afghanistan tell their (short) stories, different stories. And I love that they get the chance to tell a story and have a voice in todays society where pretty much media speaks for them, and NOT in a good way. There is an episode every week at BALUCHX youtube channel, so for inspiration and amazement, check it out! Here is one of the episodes:

“If you eat like a King this life will pass and if you eat like a beggar this life will pass. Nothing lasts. But memories.”

What’s your choice?

I just wanted to share something I wrote about a month ago, and it is a reminder to me first and to you lovelies:

– YOU decide how you want your life to be! Either YOU can sit home and let everything feel meaningless or YOU can go out and make things happen. Whether you focus on the bad or the good it is still a choice YOU make. What is your choice today?

The one at kindergarten

I was at my nephews kindergarten for his summer celebration with his classmates, some celebrated finishing pre-school and some just celebrated the arrival of summer i guess. My God my nephew was way to cute ma shaa Allah. They were all singing and he just sat there clapping and at the end of every song he clapped and shouted “Bravo” to his fellow classmates, as if he had tought them to sing and was a proud instructor. Hilarious and super cute! He is growing up way to fast.. Afterwards me and Zora headed to the City for some shopping.20140612_162939
